I’m Milena, and I have been working as a 2D Special Effects animator since 2016, as an artist, lead and supervisor. Originally from Brazil, I started as a kid fascinated with Disney movies. I obtained a Bachelors Degree in Fine Arts at the University of São Paulo (Brazil), followed by a Master Degree in Animation at Savannah College of Art and Design (Georgia, USA).

I quickly learned that my passion lies with hand drawn and traditional animation, and that is how I discovered 2D FX. What I love the most about this industry is the satisfaction of having something you did being watched, enjoyed and shared. The joy of seeing your drawings move and come to life, specially when they look as magical as special effects, still feels the same to me.
